We last updated our fees before the pandemic on 01-March-2020, and have delayed increases to our fees as much as possible during the pandemic. This is our new tariff.
We are still open in our new normal procedures in place. All face-to-face appointments will go ahead as planned.
About the updated PHE guidance we have actioned.
Jimmy is an experienced Norwich osteopath, having spent the last 18 years working in a small practice near the city centre. He now joins us as our new associate osteopath.
In line with opening up of other sectors we are simplifying access to treatment for returning patients.
On Tuesday 19th May the Institute for Osteopathy issued new guidelines for the opening up of osteopathic services to non-urgent patients. Now, access to treatment is based on your care needs, while taking in to account your treatment preferences and your risk of Covid-19
This change will support the ongoing effort to continue to provide essential patient care and reduce the demand to GP services and secondary care.
The purpose of the teleappointment system is to triage patients. This means that we will do one of the following:
offer some online treatment in the form of advice, exercise prescription and self-management,
offer a face to face appointment to either aid further diagnosis or provide osteopathic treatment to urgent patients with severe pain,
refer you onwards to your GP/walk in clinic/A&E.
We understand that lots of our patients are in pain and can only apologise for the interruption of our services.
In the meantime phones will be answered, so please do get in touch on 01603 504508 or at rebecca@norwichosteopathicclinic.co.uk if you need any further information or advice.
As of the Prime Minister’s address at 8.30pm on 23rd March 2020 we are pending absolute clarification from our regulator the General Osteopathic Council and the Institute of Osteopathy as to whether, or not, we should fully close, or if we should remain open to some specific patient groups (eg keyworkers, or some patients in acute pain).
